Biography

After the 1912 Olympics, where Otto Lasanen won a bronze medal in Greco-Roman featherweight wrestling, he also competed at the 1914 Unofficial European Championships, where he was fourth in the featherweight class. Lasanen never won a Finnish title, but as Finland was an autonomous part of Russian Empire back then, Lasanen won the Russian featherweight title in 1917. He also won the Finnish Workers' Sports Federation Greco-Roman featherweight title in 1920. By profession, Lasanen was a chauffeur.
