Biography

Ödön Bodor was a world class track and field athlete and excellent footballer, and in 1903 played on the Hungarian national team. He was an eight-time national record holder in different track disciplines. At the 1908 Summer Olympics, he won a bronze medal in the 1600 metres medley relay. At the same Olympics, he was fourth in the 800 metres. Bodor also participated in the Stockholm Games four years later. After his retirement, Bodor was a post office worker, sports journalist and athletics trainer. He died following a bad accident at the Budapest ice rink.

Personal Bests: 400 – 51.7 (1908); 800 – 1:55.4 (1908); 1500 – 4:14.0 (1908).
