Biography

Larry Amar played hockey (field) for the USA at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics. Amar was a member of US national teams for 13 years. He won five US Olympic Festival medals, including two golds. Amar also played overseas, with Canterbury Hockey Club of the English First Division in 1994.

After his hockey career Amar joined the Army, earning two Army Commendation and Army Achievement Medals. He returned to hockey after an eight-year absence and coached at Kent State University as an assistant coach.
