Biography

Discus thrower Kriemhild Hausmann finished fourth at the 1960 Roma Olympics and, under her married name Limberg, placed seventh four years later in Tokyo. Her husband Willi Limberg was a handball player. At the Europeans she won a bronze medal in 1958, and placed seventh in 1962 and 11th in 1966. In West Germany she earned eight consecutive national titles in 1958-65. Limberh-Hausmann was educated as a sports teacher.
