Biography

Keith Brantly was a distance runner who ran the marathon at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics. Brantly attended the University of Florida where he won Southeastern Conference titles in 1983 in the 10K and cross-country. He won a gold medal in the 10K at the 1985 World University Games. Brantly won various US titles, including the 1993 20 km, and in 1995 won the 10K, the 25K and the marathon, repeating as US marathon champion in 1998. He later worked in medical sales, based in Jacksonville, Florida, also serving as a personal running coach and a motivational speaker.
