Biography

John Joyce, originally from Moycullen (Maigh Cuilinn), County Galway in Ireland, was AAU 5-mile champion in 1904, competing for the Irish-American AC. He also won the AAU title indoors for 10-miles in 1903-05, and was AAU Cross-Country Champion in 1902. He was a bricklayer by trade.

Personal Best: 5 miles – 28:25.2 (1904).
