German Olympic rower Jason Osborne and Ashleigh Moolman Pasio became the first Cycling Esports world champions on Wednesday (9th December), from the comfort of their homes.
They each saw off top elite cyclists from around the world, racing live online using the Zwift software platform, on a virtual road course

Germany's rowing Olympic medallist Jason Osborne has made the switch to road cycling, signing for top team Deceuninck - Quick-Step.

Irish athletes Paul O’Donovan and Fintan McCarthy have won a spectacular lightweight men's double sculls final in a time of 6:06.43, pipping the German crew of Jonathan Rommelmann and Jason Osborne (6:07.29) to gold, after the two crews raced neck-and-neck to the finish line.
