Biography

Jari Räsänen won all his international championships medals in relay. He won silver at the 1989, 1995 and 1997 World Championships and bronzes at the 1992 and 1994 Winter Olympics and 1991 World Championships. His best individual places at major international championships were fifth in 15 km freestyle at the 1989 World Championships and sixth in pursuit at the 1994 Olympics. His father Veikko was also a cross-country skier, who competed at the 1956 and 1960 Olympics.
