Biography

Two-time Olympian, swimmer Hermann Lotter competed in the 1960 Games in Rome (4x100n medley relay) and the 1964 Games in Tokyo (200m butterfly) and was eliminated in the preliminaries in both occasions. He won 12 West German national titles between 1959 and 1967.

Lotter later became a longtime personal member of the West German National Olympic Committee and was president of his home club SC Wasserfreunde München from 1974-84. At the age of 73 he died from a brain bleed after a fall in 2013.
