Biography

Defender Hans-Jürgen Dollheiser, brother of Hugo Dollheiser, played field hockey for Club Raffelberg Duisburg and won the West German Championships in 1951 and 1953. Both brothers then moved to Preußen Duisburg. For the German national team Hans-Jürgen won 18 international caps between 1951 and 1964, including his participation in the 1952 Helsinki Olympics, where Germany lost the quarter-final 0-1 to the Netherlands. In 1954 he was also on the West Germany team that won the unofficial European Championships.
