Biography

George Mitchell played water polo at both the 1924 and 1928 Olympics, winning a bronze medal in 1924. He swam for the Olympic Club in San Francisco, and likely swam on the Olympic club team that won the 1925 AAU title. Mitchell graduated from U Cal Berkeley in 1924 with a degree in mechanical engineering.
