Biography

Ernest Glover was a notable cross-country runner who won the Northern title four times (1912-14, 1921), was the National champion in 1913, and represented England in the International four times (1911-14), finishing second in 1913 and third in 1914. On the track he won the AAA 10 miles in 1913 and placed in the 4-miles in 1913 (2nd) and 1919 (3rd). He was also the Northern Counties 10 miles champion three times (1913-14, 1919).

Personal Bests: 3 miles – 14:43.0 (1913); 5000 – 15:22.6 (1912); 6 miles – 30:41.0 (1913); 10000 – 31:48.2 (1913).
