Biography

Dennis “Pancho” McCoy skied for the University of Denver, where he was an All-American for three years, and in 1968 won the NCAA slalom and combined championship. In 1967 he won the US downhill championship and was third at the Roche Cup downhill. McCoy skied for three seasons on the World Cup circuit, from 1966-69. He then skied on the pro circuit from 1970-74. McCoy later settled in Mammoth Lakes, California, where he became a property developer. His sister, Penny, was on the US ski team at the 1968 Winter Olympics, but did not compete.
