Dan Greenbaum played indoor volleyball for the USA at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics, winning a bronze medal. He also won a silver medal indoors at the 1995 Pan American Games, and won a bronze medal at the 1991 World Cup. Greenbaum played at Southern Cal where he was a two-time All-American and helped them win two NCAA titles. He later played professionally in Japan with Team NEC in 1995-96.
Greenbaum also played on the beach in the American Volleyball League (AVBL), usually in the 4-man game. In 1996 he helped Team Paul Mitchell win the AVBL title, and was chosen All-League setter in 1995 and 1996.
