Christian Pulisic, known as "Captain America", is widely regarded as the most talented player to turn out for the U.S. Men's National Team. He has played a significant part in popularising the sport in the United States.
Born and raised in Hershey, Pennsylvania, the both of Pulisic's parents played football for George Mason University. His football journey began at seven when he joined Brackley Town's youth team in England while his mother was on a teacher exchange. After his return to the United States, he played for Michigan Rush while attending Workman Elementary School.
With a Croatian grandfather, Pulisic was able to obtain a European passport and joined the U17 squad of German side Borussia Dortmund in 2015. In the youth side, he scored 10 goals and provided eight assists in 15 matches and was promoted to the senior side during the 2015-16 Bundesliga winter break.
A lively forward with pace and skill, Pulisic became a mainstay of the side and helped Dortmund win the German Cup in the 2016-17 season, as well as impressing in the UEFA Champions League.
