Biography

Terry White attended the Holderness School in New Hampshire, where he competed in soccer (football), skiing, and lacrosse. He was on the ski team at Middlebury College from 1975-77, where he earned his degree in economic geography. White competed in flatwater kayaking at the 1984 and 1988 Olympics, just missing a medal in K2-1,000 when he finished fourth with Terry Kent. White won a gold medal at the 1987 Pan American Games in the K4 event. He placed second in a Survival of the Fittest contest on NBC’s Sportsworld. While competing in the Olympics, White worked as a land surveyor and coached skiing at the Bromley Outing Club in Peru, Vermont.
