Biography

Brett Barron was a wrestler in high school, and then began practicing judo, making the US national team in 1979. He was a US Champion in 1979-83. Barron competed at the 1979 and 1983 Pan American Games, winning bronze in 1979 and gold in 1983. He was second at the 1982 Dutch Open and won the 1984 Belgium Open. Barron worked as a private investigator. He later became assistant coach of the 2004 US Olympic team.
