Biography

Born in Burma (Myanmar), Benny Lee was mostly known as a doubles player, starting out with Chris Jogis and later playing with Tommy Reidy. Lee was a 9-time US doubles champion, winning four with Jogis (1987-90), four with Reidy (1992-95), and a final one in 1998 with Andy Chong. He and Jogis also won gold at the 1991 Pan American Championships. Lee attended Arizona State University. He was known as a particularly good athlete, possessing a 40-inch (100 cm) vertical leap.
