Biography

Axel Thayssen played for the B93 København club. He won six Danish titles in doubles between 1909-17. Thayssen is best remembered for helping found the Danish Tennis Federation in 1920 and serving as the editor of their magazine Lawn Tennis, which became known as Lawn Tennis and Badminton in 1922. He also later served as the publisher of the magazine. Thayssen wrote a book on lawn tennis, again entitled Lawn Tennis. His career was as a lawyer.
