Andrey Chemerkin had the following podium finishes at major championships: 1st in the 1996 Olympics Unlimited class (457.5 kg); 3rd in the 2000 Olympics Unlimited class (462.5 kg); 3rd in the 1993 World Championships Unlimited class (435.0 kg); 2nd in the 1994 World Championships Unlimited class (452.5 kg); 1st in the 1995 World Championships Unlimited class (442.5 kg); 1st in the 1997 World Championships Unlimited class (462.5 kg); 1st in the 1998 World Championships Unlimited class (437.5 kg); 1st in the 1999 World Championships Unlimited class (457.5 kg); 3rd in the 2001 World Championships Unlimited class (442.5 kg); 2nd in the 1993 European Championships Unlimited class (425.0 kg); 1st in the 1994 European Championships Unlimited class (450.0 kg); 1st in the 1995 European Championships Unlimited class (442.5 kg); 2nd in the 1998 European Championships Unlimited class (445.0 kg).
