Outside hitter Anatoliy Polishchuk started to play professional volleyball in 1971 with SKA Rostov-na-Donu and from 1972-83 was with CSKA Moskva. With CSKA, Polishchuk was Soviet champion from 1973-83, won the Soviet Cup in 1980 and 1982, and won the CEV Champions League in 1973-75, 1977, 1982 and 1983. Polishchuk was on the Soviet national team from 1974-78 and won silver at the 1976 Olympics, was 1978 World Champion, took silver at the 1974 World Championships, won the 1977 World Cup, and European Championships in 1975 and 1977.
