Biography

German wrestler Adolf Kurz lived in Stuttgart. At the 1912 Stockholm Olympics he was eliminated in the second round against Finnish wrestler Konrad Åberg. At the 1907 World Greco-Roman Championships Kurz finished sixth as a middleweight, and six years later was third as a heavyweight. In 1921 he was second at the European Championships as a heavyweight. In 1919, Kurz was German light-heavyweight champion, in 1920 he was second as a heavyweight, and in 1912 third in the middleweight class. Kurz was also a gymnast, power athlete, and weightlifter.
