Biografie

Tripp Schwenk was a backstroker who swam at the 1992 and 1996 Olympics. In 1996, at Atlanta, Schwenk won a gold medal in the medley relay, and a silver in the 200 metre backstroke. He won three golds at the 1993 SC World Championships, in both backstrokes and the medley relay. Schwenk also competed at the 1991 and 1993 Universiade, winning three golds and five medals in all. He also won gold in the 200 back at the 1995 Pan Pacific Championships.

Schwenk swam in college at the University of Tennessee. He won the NCAA 200 backstroke title in 1992 and won three Southeastern Conference titles. He later became a K-9 Unit police officer in Sarasota Florida, where he settled with his wife, and their son and daughter.
