Biografie

Glenn Dubis represented the United States in rifle shooting at four Olympics (1984, 1988, 1996, 2000), with a best finish of fifth in the 1988 small-bore 3-position event, as an Olympic medal was the only thing missing from his superb shooting career. During his career he was a three-time World Champion, won five World Military Rifle Championships, and set or tied six world records. Dubis competed at the Military World Games (CISM – Conseil International du Sport Militaire) more than a dozen times. He is a member of the USAMU International Rifle Hall of Fame.

Dubis graduated from Penn State University in 1981 with a degree in agronomy and in 1989 completed a masters’ degree from the US Sports Academy in sports management. He joined the Army in February 1982 and started shooting with the US Army Marksmanship Unit (USAMU). During his military career he served in Operation Desert Storm, with his other assignments including the 197th Infantry Brigade, the 2nd Armored Division in Germany, the Infantry Officers Advanced Course, and the Combined Armed Services and Staff School. Dubis left the Army in 2002 as a Captain.
