Biografie

Gymnast Franz Abbé finished 77th at the 1900 Paris Olympics in the individual all-around. He was affiliated with the Berliner Turnverein and was one of the notable members. Franz Abbe was both the architect and the owner of the building that famed physicist Albert Einstein lodged in back in 1914 when he worked at Berlin University. Abbé also built the boathouse of the Friedrichshagener Ruderverein (rowing club) at Hahns Mühle 12 in 1912. The building still exists and is now a protected historic builing. Abbé was registered as an architect in (Berlin-) Karlshorst in 1929.
