Biografie

Amy Rudolph was a distance runner who ran the 5K at both the 1996 and 2000 Olympics. Rudolph ran at Providence College, winning the 1994 NCAA title in the 1,500. Excelling in all types of distance running, she won US titles at 10,000 metres outdoors in 2006, at 3,000 metres indoors in 1997 and 2002, in short-course cross-country in 1998-99, and on the roads at 8 km in 1998. While in college she also won multiple Big East titles, both indoors and out. Rudolph married Irish Olympian Mark Carroll.

Rudolph went into coaching first as an assistant at Providence College, and then at Bryant University and Auburn University. She eventually became the women’s cross-country coach and assistant track and field coach at Drake University with her husband.

Personal Best: 5000 – 14:56.04 (1996).
