السيرة الذاتية

Despite being a member of the Corinthian Hockey Club in Dublin, full-back William Lindsay was a Scottish international, making his début, against Ireland, at Glasgow in 1938. Lindsay represented the Irish province Leinster, and was a tricky player when on the ball, which made up for his lack of speed. At the time of the 1948 Olympics, he was an established international, and played in all five of Great Britain’s matches as they went on to win the silver medal. Lindsay also played cricket for Merrion, in the Leinster Senior League, after World War II.
