Todd Williams was a distance runner who competed in the 10,000 metres at both the 1992 and 1996 Olympics. He also ran at the 1993 and 1995 World Championships in the 10K, with his best finish at those internationals a seventh in the 1993 Worlds. Williams ran in college at the University of Tennessee where he was a three-time All-American. At the NCAA Meet, he placed second in the 10K and third in the 5K in 1991. He was a four-time US Champion in the 10K, winning in 1992-93 and 1995-96.

Williams later turned to the roads and ran a few marathons, with a best of 2-11:17 at the 1997 Chicago Marathon. He was also twice US cross-country champion. Williams later was in charge of an ASICS-sponsored company called RunSafer. In addition to his running, he also held a black belt in Brazilian jiu jitsu. Williams’ wife, Stephanie, competed at the 1992 Olympic Trials in swimming.
