Wu Shude had the following podium finishes at major championships: 1st in the 1984 Olympics Bantamweight class (267.5 kg); 3rd in the 1982 World Championships Bantamweight class (270.0 kg); 1st in the 1984 World Championships Bantamweight class (267.5 kg); 1st in the 1982 Asian Games Bantamweight class. He set three snatch world records.
