Rodney SOHER

Rodney Soher came from a wealthy Anglo-American banking family. He himself had dual British-US citizenship and served with the American Red Cross during World War One before he studied law at Cambridge University. Soher was rich enough to fund his sporting exploits and played squash and tennis to a high standard as well as sailing his own 6 metre racing yacht. He lived the globetrotting life of a socialite with homes in five cities around the world and was a regular in Hollywood gossip columns of the late thirties. Later in life he shared the Beverly Hills home of Academy Award winning actor Edmund Gwenn.
