السيرة الذاتية

Bob Kiesel never won a major title, but the fact that he won a place on an Olympic relay team during a golden age of American sprinting was testament in itself to his ability. Although championship honors eluded him, Kiesel was a match for the best sprinters around when measured against the stop watch. His 9.5 for 100y in 1932 was matched only by Ralph Metcalfe among world sprinters that year and in 1932 he also ran a windy 10.4 for 100m. At the longer sprint he could point to a 20.8 clocking for 220y in 1934. After graduation Bob Kiesel worked for a paint manufacturing company until 1941 and after his war service he spent 23 years in the family real estate and investment business in Utah before moving to his farm in Idaho.

Personal Best: 100 – 10.64 (1934).
