السيرة الذاتية

Richard Quinn was the dominant figure in Scottish walking in the early years of the century. At the time, the 3 miles was the only walking event at the Scottish Championships and Quinn won the title for seven successive years (1904-10). Originally a member of Motherwell Harriers he joined Bellahouston Harriers in 1907 when he took part in the AAA Championship at Manchester, finishing eighth in the 7 mile walk. He broke the Scottish 3 mile record in 1906 and in 1910 set a new one mile walking record of 6:45.6.

Personal Bests: Mile Walk – 6:45.6 (1910); 2 mile Walk – 14:21.6 (1911); 3 mile Walk – 21:50.6 (1909).
