السيرة الذاتية

Meg Harris rose to fame as one of the best relay swimmers in the world at a very young age. Despite being just in her early 20s and partially deaf, she has already won five Olympic medals - two gold, two silver and one bronze.

The Australian swimmer won three medals at the Paris 2024 Olympics, including a gold in the women’s 4x100m medley relay.

Meg Harris was born on March 7, 2002, in Wodonga, Australia. She was introduced to swimming by her mother, who was a swimming teacher in Mackay.

Though Meg started swimming only to keep herself fit for surf lifesaving, she gradually fell in love with the sport after her family moved to Brisbane in 2015.

Meg was picked to compete at the 2017 Commonwealth Youth Games in the Bahamas, where she won the 50m freestyle event. She also had great success at the World Junior Championships 2019 in Budapest, returning with three medals.

Her first outing with the senior Dolphins’ squad, as it turned out, was at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. She was a part of the gold medal-winning team in the women’s 4x100m free relay alongside Cate Campbell, Bronte Campbell and Emma McKeon.
