Kathy Corrigan attended Springfield College, graduating in 1966, and later earned a masters in education at Penn State. She was the first woman inducted into the Springfield College Athletic Hall of Fame. Her best meet was the 1963 Pan American Games, in which she won a team gold, silver in the all-around, and bronzes on floor and vault. After retiring from competition, Corrigan entered coaching, first at Weymouth High School in Massachusetts, and then Bridgewater State College and Penn State. She later opened the Kathy Corrigan School of Gymnastics in Rockland, Massachusetts. Corrigan was named as a gymnastic consultant to the President’s Council on Physical Fitness and Sport, served as a speaker for the American College of Sports and Medicine, and was elected as a vice-chairperson of the U. S. Gymnastics Safety Association. She was inducted into the Gymnastics Hall of Fame in 1992.
