السيرة الذاتية

After placing third at the Final Trials, Herman Frazier of Arizona State improved to become the second best American in Montréal by taking the bronze with a career best of 44.95. He also finished second in the NCAA in 1975 and 1976, winning that title in 1977. Frazier was a member of the winning 4×400 metres relay team at the 1975 Pan American Games (with the non-Olympians Robert Taylor, Maurice Peoples, and Ronald Ray) in addition to running the opening stage on the team that won the 1976 Olympic title. After 1976, Frazier continued to compete as a runner and won again gold with the 4×400 metres relay team at the 1979 Pan American Games (with the non-Olympians Tony Darden, Maurice Peoples, and James Walker), but he also trained as a bobsledder in hopes of making the 1980 Winter Olympic team, although he did not make the team. Frazier later entered sports administration and became athletic director, first at his alma mater and later at the University of Hawai'i.
