As in 1928 at Amsterdam, Grete Heublein came in fifth in the discus throw in at Los Angeles in 1932, and was a disappointing last in the 4×100 m relay together with Ellen Braumüller, Tilly Fleischer and Marie Dollinger. She was German Champion in the shot put in 1926, 1928-29, and 1931, and with discus throw in 1930 and 1932. From 1926-29 Heublein set a total of eight world records in the shot put (plus six that were not recognized), and one in the discus throw in 1932. She also won the shot put at the 1930 Women's World Games. She earned seven international caps. From 1934 until her retirement in 1968 she was a forewoman in the tool store in the technology section of the electric company, Vorwerk & Co. in Wuppertal.
