السيرة الذاتية

Representing Switzerland, Georges Gautschi made his debut on the international figure skating scene at the 1922 European Championships, where he was 9th in the singles event. After improving to 7th two years later, his next stop was the 1924 Winter Olympics, where he won a surprise bronze medal. In 1925 he came in fourth and sixth at the European and World Championships respectively, prior to winning his first Swiss national championship the following year. He also earned bronze at the 1926 European Championships. He defended his national title in 1927 and came in fourth in the European Championships, but was not selected for the 1928 Winter Olympics. His final international appearances netted him a silver medal at the 1929 European Championships and bronze at the 1930 World Championships, and he retired after defending his national title once more in 1931 (the championship had not been held in the intervening years).
