Franz ZINNER

German Franz Zinner set six middleweight weightlifting world records from 1923-28 – four in the snatch, and one each in the clean & jerk and combined. At the 1928 Amsterdam Olympics he came an unfortunate fourth in the middleweight division. At the 1930 European Championships he came seventh having previously won five National middleweight titles from 1924-28.
