Clément Dupont played scrum-half for France in rugby football at the 1924 Paris Olympics, earning a silver medal. He was capped 16 times for the French national squad. Dupont had a long rugby career and played for multiple clubs. He was with Argeles-Gazost before 1920, then with Racing Club de France in 1920-21, Lourdes in 1922-23, Rouen in 1923-24, Le Havre in 1924-25, SBUC from 1925-29, and finally played with SA Bordeaux from 1929-32. Dupont was later a coach of BEC from 1932-37, and then was a trainer with CA Périgueux until 1960. His career was in construction, especially building factories. He also worked in rugby administration with the Fédération Française Rugby. Dupont coached the Madagascar national team on a tour to France in 1957.
