Carlota Gooden had the following podium finishes at major championships: 2nd in the 1959 Pan American Games 4×100 metres Relay (with Jean Holmes-Mitchell, Marcela Daniel, and Silvia Hunte), 3rd in the 1959 Pan American Games 60 metres, 3rd in the 1959 Pan American Games 100 metres.
