个人信息

After graduating from West Point in 1907, Sloan Doak spent the greater part of his service career as an instructor at the cavalry school at Fort Riley, Kansas. While at the Fort, he played polo extensively and was a member of the team which won the Western Circuit Championship in 1915. He retired from the army in 1936 at which time he held the rank of colonel. Doak made the first of his three Olympic appearances in 1920 and in 1924 he won the bronze medal in the Three Day Event. At the 1928 Olympics, when he placed 17th, he was the captain of the U.S. equestrian team. Four years later, in Los Angeles, Sloan Doak served as the Chairman of the Olympic Equestrian Jury and was the first American to be honored with this exacting duty
