Like all the members of the coxless four that won the gold medals at the 1924 Olympics, Robert Morrison was educated at Eton and Trinity College, Cambridge. He rowed the Cambridge boat in 1923 and won a total of eight events at Henley, his most successful year being 1925 when he won the Stewards’, the Visitors’ and the Goblets. Morrison followed a career as an engineer and lived in many parts of the country before retiring to Cambridgeshire four years before his death.
