Nikolai BUROBIN

Nikolay Burobin started to play volleyball with Energiya Moskva, but soon in 1961 he moved to CSKA Moskva and played there until the end of his playing career in 1968. With CSKA Moskva Burobin won six Soviet titles (1958, 1960, 1961, 1962, 1965, 1966) and two European Champions’ League titles (1960, 1962). Burobin played with the Soviet national team from 1958-1966 and he won Olympic gold in 1964, World Championships titles in 1960 and 1962 and World Cup title in 1965. He also won bronzes at the 1966 World Championships and 1958 and 1963 European Championships. After finishing his playing career, Burobin worked as a volleyball coach, being the head coach of CSKA Moskva women’s team from 1981-1983.
