个人信息

After the Swiss pair Alfred Felber and Édouard Candeveau won the bronze medal in Antwerp with coxswain Paul Piaget, they did even better in 1924, winning gold in Paris, this time with Émile Lachapelle steering. Between the two Olympic medals Felber and Candeveau twice took the European crown in 1922 and 1923 in the coxed pairs, representing the Société Nautique de Geneva. Felber’s first European title, however, came in 1912 with his former companion, non-Olympian Charles Holzmann, followed by second places in 1913 and 1920, all in the coxed pairs. In addition, Felber competed in gymnastics, athletics and football. He worked for many years as physical education teacher at the Collège Moderne and later at the Collège de Saint-Antoine in Genève.
