Aleksandr Vinogradov had the following podium finishes at the Flatwater World Championships: 1st 1971 C2 10000 m (with Naum Prokupets), 1st 1974 C2 500 m (with the non-Olympian Mikhail Lobanov), 1st 1975 C2 500 m (with the non-Olympian Mikhail Lobanov), 2nd 1979 C2 500 m (with Sergey Petrenko), 3rd 1975 C2 1000 m (with the non-Olympian Roman Vyzhenko).
