Биография

Warren Cole was a rower who won a gold medal in the coxed fours at the 1968 Mexico City Olympics. He also competed at the 1976 Montréal Olympics in the same event. Cole won a gold medal at the 1970 World Championships in the eight. He started rowing at Hamilton Boys’ High School and later won a national title with the Waikato eight in 1973.

Around that time, Cole began to focus on his work career with Carter Holt Harvey, eventually moving to Waikato Milking Systems, where he became the export manager and had shares in the company. Cole also coached at Waikato Rowing Club and managed New Zealand crews at the 1977 and 1978 World Championships.
