Биография

Tomáš Goder had a brief ski jumping career, lasting only from 1991-94. Goder won silver on the normal hill at the 1991 World Junior Ski Jumping Championships and two weeks after that débuted at the World Cup circuit. During his career, Goder competed at the 1992 Winter Olympics, where he won a bronze medal in the team event, and at the 1992 and 1994 World Ski Flying Championships, placing fourth in 1992. During the summer of 1994, while competing in summer ski jumping competitions on artificial turf, Goder sustained a severe fall and sustained a comminuted open fracture of his arm. This fall also ended his ski jumping career, although he attempted a comeback several times during various World Cup events held in the Czech Republic in 1997 and 1998, but with little success. Goder later settled in Úpice and worked in a hardware store. He is also chairman of the Úpice town sports commission.
