Rolf Milser had the following podium finishes at major championships: 1st in the 1984 Olympics Sub-Heavyweight class (385.0 kg); 3rd in the 1974 World Championships Light-Heavyweight class (347.5 kg); 2nd in the 1977 World Championships Middle-Heavyweight class (370.0 kg); 1st in the 1978 World Championships Middle-Heavyweight class (377.5 kg); 2nd in the 1979 World Championships Middle-Heavyweight class (377.5 kg); 1st in the 1984 World Championships Sub-Heavyweight class (385.0 kg); 2nd in the 1977 European Championships Middle-Heavyweight class (370.0 kg); 2nd in the 1978 European Championships Middle-Heavyweight class (375.0 kg); 1st in the 1979 European Championships Middle-Heavyweight class (382.5 kg). He set two clean & jerk world records – one in light-heavyweight in 1976 and one in middle-heavyweight in 1979.
