Биография

Nat Pendleton was a two-time AAU champion by the time he went to the 1920 Olympics. The American team expected him to bring back a gold medal but he was beaten in the semi-finals by Switzerland’s Robert Roth in a controversial decision. After the Olympics he finished his studies at Columbia University and then had a short career as a professional wrestler. Pendleton later became a famous character actor in motion pictures. He appeared in almost 100 different movies, numbering among his screen credits “You Said a Mouthful,” “The Great Ziegfield,” “Young Doctor Kildare,” “Northwest Passage,” “Top Sergeant Mulligan,” and “Death Valley.”
