Биография

Kim Turner won a bronze medal in the 100 metre hurdles at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics, in a controversial finish in which she and France’s Michèle Chardonnet eventually shared bronze medals in a tie for third place. Turner made the US team by winning the 1984 US Olympic Trials in one of the closest races in history in any track event, in which the top four finishers were separated by only 1/100th of a second. Turner was a silver medalist in the 100 hurdles at the 1983 Pan American Games. She competed at the World Indoor Championships in 1989, placing fourth, and in 1991, finishing seventh, and also placed fifth at the 1992 World Cup. She was US Champion in the high hurdles in 1988, finishing second in 1989. Indoors, she won US titles over 55 metre hurdles in 1989 and 60 metre hurdles in 1991.

Personal Best: 100H – 12.77 (1992).
